Periodontal therapy

Periodontal disease is an infection of the teeth, gums, and bone surrounding the tooth. It is also the leading cause of adult tooth loss. Excess plaque can build up, causing bacteria and toxins to develop around your teeth. When these toxins invade the gum tissues surrounding your teeth, the bone supporting them can begin to receed. When left untreated, the continuing bone loss can lead to tooth mobility and eventually tooth loss. Reasearch also indicates that periodontal disease is a direct cause of cardiovascular disease, and may actually contribute to or cause adult onset diabetes.

Signs of periodontal disease can include:

-Persistant Bad Breath
-Bleeding Gums
-Swollen or Tender Gums
-Gums Pulling away from Teeth
-Loose or Mobile Teeth
