Digital X-Rays allow for a quick and clear image of your teeth. We have the ability to take an image of your tooth in seconds, eliminating the development time of dental x-ray film. Because there is significantly less time devoted to taking and developing x-ray film, this allows our staff to spend more time w/ you during your appointment. Digital also requires less radiation, reducing your exposure time. Since we view the x-rays on a computer screen, we can also zoom, magnify, and more closely examine exposures, giving us the ability to more accurately detect and monitor treatment.
With the recent addition of our digital panoramic / cephelometric xray unit, we are able to image the entire skull, sinus area, and TMJ. This instant image can reveal potential concerns with any of these areas, and greatly assist Dr. Swoverland in the diagnosis of our neuromuscular guests.
